What you can expect

The tour begins at a meeting point in the Quartier Haut, one of the oldest and liveliest areas in Sète. From the very first minutes, the discovery is on foot, at a gentle pace, taking the time to soak up the atmosphere of the area.
As you make your way through the alleys, stairways, and small squares, the live guide shares the popular history of the Quartier Haut, its origins, its inhabitants, and its close connection with the local artistic scene. The vantage points over the city and the harbour provide a better understanding of Sète's unique geography and its constant relationship with the sea.

Depending on the opening days and times, the tour can be enhanced by exploring vibrant cultural venues, such as an exhibition in the chapel of a former convent, open artist studios, or the Cimetière Marin. These stops bring a sensitive and contemporary dimension to the tour.

The tour then continues with a gradual descent to the harbour, connecting the Quartier Haut to the coastline. The tour ends along the fishing harbour and the marina, in contact with Sète's maritime life, among boats, wharves, and scenes of everyday life. This end of the route offers a complete view of the city, between the heights, inhabited areas, and the opening to the sea.
