What you can expect

A budget friendly and flexible bus passport that takes you to the trail of two of Iceland's most popular highland hiking routes, the Laugavegur hiking (2-4 day hike) trail and the Fimmvorduhals hiking trail (1-2 day hike). You will get bus transfer from Reykjavík and can choose between three hiking bases to start from. With the Highland Hikers Passport you enjoy the flexibility and take as much time for the hike as you please within the operation time frame (June 15th - September 15th). The landscape is unique with calm and quiet surroundings, an extraordinary adventure. There is nothing quite like the sound of silence. Make travel plans and be prepared with the right gear for the conditions. With this passport you can choose three locations to start your hike from: Skogar waterfall, Landmannalaugar or Thorsmörk. Laugavegur hiking trail is between the nature reserves Landmannalaugar and Thorsmork and is 54km long with elevation of 500m. The trail offers variety of unique landscape, colourful mountains, magnificent glaciers and hot springs. Fimmvorduhals hiking trail is between Skogar and Thorsmork and leads you between the famous Eyjafjallajokull that erupted in 2010 and Myrdalsjokull glacier. This is a 24km long trail with elevetion of 1000m. Bring your tent or arrange accommodation and advance.
