Overview

It is one of the most beautiful walks in the Dordogne valley that combines discovery of built and natural heritage. The guided tour of the village of Loubressac will allow you to have the keys to understanding local history that will then be useful for the discovery of the Dordogne valley. We will have from the cliff a plunging view of the village of Autoire nestled in a remote Jurassic. We will go down to see along the cliff the English castle and we will see from above the superb waterfall that is at the end of the limestone circus.

Chateau des anglais

It is a roca, in other words a castle built along the cliff as many found in the Middle Ages in Quercy and Perigord. It was used during the Hundred Years War but the texts speak of it well before that date.

Loubressac

It is one of the most beautiful villages in France overlooking the Dordogne valley. It has retained the charm of traditional villages with its stone houses covered with tiles. Two of the gates of the medieval village are preserved, special care is given to flowering which beautifies even more the alleys of Loubressac.
