Begin at the lakeside promenade and start with a scenic ascent to the famous Bled Castle, the oldest castle in Slovenia. Perched high above the lake, it offers spectacular panoramic views. Choose to enter and explore the castle (entrance fee not included).
After descending back to the lakeshore, continue your walk through Mala Zaka towards Velika Zaka. Here comes one of the highlights of the tour: a short but steep 25-minute climb to the breathtaking viewpoint of Ojstrica. The effort is well rewarded with one of the most iconic views of Lake Bled, the island church, and the Julian Alps.
Following the descent, take the opportunity for a refreshing swim in the lake during the summer months. Continue along the scenic lakeside path, passing the historic Tito's Villa Bled. A stop at the panoramic terrace of Belvedere Bled offers the perfect chance to taste the famous Bled cream cake (kremšnita) while enjoying the view.
For those who still have energy, finish with an optional hike up Straža Bled. During summer, enjoy the thrilling summer toboggan ride (optional, extra charge), which brings you back down towards the lake and completes your scenic loop.
