Explore the Legendary Cu Chi Tunnels
Step back in time and discover one of Vietnam's most remarkable historical landmarks. Located about 70 km from Ho Chi Minh City, the Cu Chi Tunnels are an extraordinary underground network that played a crucial role during the Vietnam War.
Originally built by local villagers and resistance forces, the tunnel system gradually expanded over several decades to more than 250 km (155 miles). Hidden beneath the ground, it included living quarters, kitchens, hospitals, meeting rooms, storage areas, weapon workshops, and secret escape routes, allowing people to live, communicate, and survive under extremely difficult wartime conditions.
Today, the Cu Chi Tunnels are recognised as one of Vietnam's most significant historical attractions. Walking through this underground maze offers visitors a deeper understanding of the ingenuity, resilience, and determination of the Vietnamese people while experiencing a unique part of the country's history first-hand.
