Know before you book

  • Minimum age for group tours 3 years - private tours can be booked for families travelling with youndger children
  • Hobbiton requires good mobility - if you have issues please advise us so we can see if we can arrange Golf Cart Transport ( this is not avaiable on all tours)
  • Please list your pickup location at the time of booking
  • We recommend you "dress like an Onion" layers as the weather in NZ is changeable and wind can be cold while in a sheltered area the sun can be hot

What you can expect

GUARANTEED DEPARTURE -Due to low numbers and sustained losses caused by Covid 19, until further notice we will need a minimum of 4 people (or price equivalent) to run tours

This tour starts later than most (at 12 noon) hotel pickups from 11:30am. and we guarantee departure. We have no minimum numbers and will travel for one person After leaving Auckland we travel through the Waikato region, which is well known for cattle and dairy farming. You will also pass some sheep farms on your way to Hobbiton. On arrival at Hobbiton you will have time get something to eat (own expense) or explore the Shires Rest Souvenir shop before joining Hobbiton Tours for a group walking tour of the Hobbiton Film Set including a complementary drink at the Green Dragon before boarding our coach to return to Auckland.
