You’ll be picked up from your accommodation in Mendoza and travel with your bilingual guide into the Andes to Rancho Don Daniel, a family-run mountain ranch. On arrival, enjoy homemade tortas fritas and a hot drink while the horses are prepared. Your horse will be selected according to your size and riding experience, and the local team will help you get comfortable before setting off. The ride lasts around 3 hours, usually divided into two sections. Follow mountain trails through open valleys, cross clear creeks, and enjoy the Andes at a calm pace. During the ride, stop in the mountains for a traditional Argentine asado cooked over an open fire, accompanied by a local-style picada, homemade bread, and Mendoza wine. Throughout the day, you’ll spend time with Daniel’s family and local horsemen, learning about their connection with horses, the land, and mountain life. After lunch, continue riding through the mountains before returning to the ranch. At the end of the day, your guide will drive you back to Mendoza.
