What you can expect

Discover the Hatunmachay Rock Climbing area, one of the highest crags in the world, with a mystic rock forest formed by the erosion of time. Located at about 80 km south of Huaraz, the area has become popular for rock climbing and sightseeing.

Depart from Huaraz around 8:00 AM after breakfast and drive in the southern Huaraz for about 8 km on the paved way. Then, drive on an unpaved trail for about 15 km to get to Hatunmachay. Arrive around 10:00 AM and start preparing materials for climbing and visiting the rocks.

At the proper time, have lunch. Return to Huaraz the same way, with the car waiting for you until your visit or rock climbing. Arrive back in Huaraz around 6:00 PM.
