Enjoy a 2-hour tour of the culture, art and history of Hvar, one of the principal destinations on the Dalmatian Riviera. Hvar is home to fiercely proud, determined and courteous people, who are eager to show off their city.
This small-group walking tour begins with a transfer by car up to Hvar’s Fortica fortress. After learning about the fortress and its history, you’ll begin a leisurely paced walk down to the city centre through lush pine woods to the oldest part of Hvar, called Groda.
When you have reached Groda, you’ll stop at the Benedictine nunnery museum to admire their agava pattern lacework that is protected by UNESCO. You’ll also see the city square, the arsenal, the theatre and the cathedral.
