With six full hours on Hydra, you'll have plenty of time to discover the island's history, culture and coastline. Begin with a one-hour guided walk through Hydra Town, passing elegant mansions, stone alleys and jasmine-scented courtyards. Hear stories of the island's maritime heritage, its role in the Greek War of Independence and artists such as Leonard Cohen who found inspiration here. Discover local traditions and taste traditional almond sweets (amygdalota).
