The Ice Axe and crampon clinic introduces you to ice axe use for balance, step cutting, and self-arrest, proper footwork and techniques for ascending and descending firm snow. Our course takes place on the lower slopes of Mount Shasta, where you’ll spend time on a slope practising under the guidance of our experienced instructors. These sessions are perfect for beginners or climbers looking to refresh their skills before a bigger climb.
