What you can expect

  • Explore the DAS TIROL PANORAMA and Kaiserjäger Museum in Innsbruck with a self-guided entry ticket. Begin at the Bergisel hill, where the DAS TIROL PANORAMA is built around the Riesenrundgemälde, a 1,000 m² circular painting and the largest artwork in Tyrol.

    Step onto the central platform and watch as the third Battle of Bergisel of 1809 unfolds all around you in a full 360-degree sweep of alpine landscape and Tyrolean militia.

    From the panorama, move through Schauplatz Tirol, which tells the myth of Tyrol through nature, religion, politics, and people, with objects from a historic cable-car gondola to Emperor Maximilian's 1511 Landlibell.

    An underground passage leads to the historic Kaiserjägermuseum and its storey of the Tyrolean Kaiserjäger regiments. A free app offers eight self-guided tours for adults and children.
