What you can expect

Day 1: Immersion in the Amazon Jungle

Start your adventure with a hotel/Airport pickup and transfer to the Bellavista Nanay pier. From here, embark on a river journey along the Nanay River, exploring the tributary Momón River and meeting the indigenous Boras groups. After an hour and a half, you'll arrive at our Lodge on the right bank of the majestic Amazon River. Once settled into the comfortable rooms with private bathrooms, you will enjoy lunch.

Later, immerse yourself in a botanical walk to discover giant trees and medicinal plants. The afternoon continues with a visit to the animal rescue centre and an experience at the Amazonian sugarcane mill. You'll observe the Amazonian sunset before dinner. After dinner, you'll have the opportunity to explore the jungle in search of tarantulas and listen to the nocturnal sounds of nature.

Day 2: Encounters with Nature and Indigenous Tribes

Wake up early at 5:30 AM to witness the sunrise in the Amazon rainforest and observe the region's exotic birds. After breakfast, head out on our typical canoe to look for Grey and Pink Dolphins (Bufeo Colorado). You can swim at the beaches of the Amazon River if you wish before visiting the Yaguas indigenous tribe.

There, you'll participate in traditional dances and learn about their hunting techniques, including the use of blowguns. Return to the Lodge for lunch and in the afternoon, enjoy the famous Piranha fishing and other fish species. The night will be filled with stories and myths of the jungle told by our guide.

Day 3: Butterflies, Riverside Villages, and Exotic Birds

After breakfast, visit the Butterfly Centre (Mariposario) to learn about various species. Later, explore a riverside village, immersing yourself in local customs. You'll also visit the heronry lake, where you'll admire the majestic Victoria Regia water lilies and observe birds like the Oatzin and the jabiru. Return to the Lodge for dinner and spend the night in the comfortable rooms.

Day 4: Mirror Jungle and Return to Iquitos

After breakfast, you'll embark on a journey along the Yanayacu River, known as the 'mirror jungle'. Visit the jungle shaman to learn about traditional healing practices, including the Mapacho cigarette's ícaro and chants to the mother jungle.

Return to the Lodge for lunch and then visit the Paiches and alligator breeding centre, where you'll receive a brief explanation about these species from experienced caretakers. Finally, return to the city of Iquitos around 5:30 PM, concluding your experience in the lush Amazon rainforest.
