Your guide will pick you up from your accommodation. After a one-hour ride, as we watch the nightlife or daylife of the city and talk about Iquitos and its curiosities, we’ll arrive at the unique White Sand National Park, an environment unlike anywhere else in the world.
At the entrance, we’ll register at the cabin, take a short break, and use the facilities if needed. Backpacks can be safely left at the office. Before entering, you’ll receive a brief introduction, and then a park ranger will lead the way while we explore and learn about the wonders the jungle has to offer.
Along the trail, a diverse variety of trees and medicinal plants will be introduced to you, such as the mighty Lupuna tree, different kinds of palms, edible mushrooms, and many more.
During the hike, you may also encounter monkeys, spiders, jungle pigs, colourful birds, and tiny frogs. As we walk, we’ll pause to enjoy breakfast or brunch in the heart of nature, giving you the energy for the journey ahead.
After about three hours, once we finish the hike and exit the park, we’ll head back to the city. On the way, we’ll make a stop at a local roadside stand to taste exotic Amazonian fruits, a delicious reward after the trek.
Finally, you’ll be comfortably dropped off at your accommodation.
