Explore the wild heart of Istria on an immersive half-day nature experience designed for curious travellers, nature lovers, and mindful wanderers. This is more than a guided walking tour — it’s an invitation to slow down, engage your senses, and rediscover the world through a new lens.
Led by an experienced ecologist and storyteller, your journey begins with a light hike through the Mediterranean maquis towards Svetica hill, a panoramic viewpoint overlooking the Adriatic Sea and Kvarner islands. Along the way, you’ll learn to recognise native plants, listen to the songs of forest birds, and uncover local legends that echo through the land.
As you walk hidden trails once used by soldiers, your guide will lead you to the abandoned military bunkers carved into the hillside — silent witnesses of Istria’s layered history. Here, you’ll explore forgotten spaces and hear stories that reveal the connection between people, place, and time.
From there, the walk continues into the protected Natura 2000 area of Kala Bay, a haven for biodiversity and migratory birds. You’ll enjoy breathtaking coastal views and discover the natural rhythms of the landscape through gentle, mindful moments.
To round out the experience, we take a refreshing swim break in the crystal-clear waters of the Adriatic (summer only), accompanied by fresh seasonal fruit. You’ll have time to relax, connect with others, or simply enjoy the peaceful scenery.
