If you like exploring historic and picturesque towns on the hills, don't miss the opportunity to visit Motovun and Grožnjan, two of the most beautiful medieval pearls in Istria. These small towns will delight you with their architecture, culture, gastronomy and views of the green surroundings.
Motovun is located on top of a hill above the Mirna river valley, where vines are grown and underground mushrooms and wild truffles are searched for. There you will have the opportunity to taste truffles, olive oil and homemade cheese (in the price of the excursion). In Motovun, you can see the city walls, the church of St. Stjepan, the Renaissance palace and the Baroque lodge, and enjoy the panoramic view of the whole of Istria. Motovun also hosts a famous film festival that takes place every summer. At the end of the city tour, there will be a break for lunch.
After lunch, if you wish, you can visit an authentic nearby winery where a wine tasting is held (for an extra charge).
Grožnjan is only 15 km from Motovun, but it offers an authentic experience. This small town is known as the city of artists, because it is full of galleries, studios, music events and festivals. In Grožnjan, you can walk along the narrow stone streets, visit various exhibitions, galleries or relax in one of the restaurants or cafes with a view of the valleys. We will take you to the gallery of making glass decorations and ceramic decorative objects. Enjoy with us in northern Istria.
