What you can expect

Johannesburg is often referred to as the “City of Gold” and to the locals Jozi, Egoli, or Joburg. Our route covers major points of interest from the South in Soweto past city centre Johannesburg. covering first in Soweto - (Chris Hani Baragwanath Hospital i.e. The biggest hospital in the Southern Hemisphere; Freedom Square- where the freedom charter was adopted in 1955; we then head to Regina Mundi Church alias The People’s Parliament to learn about the history of the struggle in South Africa; We then drive to Hector Peterson Museum –covering the 1976 student protests that changed the face of South Africa’s politics; after this, we will proceed to sightseeing the houses of Nobel Peace Laureates Nelson Mandela and Desmond Tutu located on the same street).

During this tour, you may ask your tour guide for a local cuisine recommendation to stop by and grab a bite to eat. (Food is not included with the tour package.) After this tour, your tour guide will proceed to drop you off at the set drop-off point to conclude the journey.
