What you can expect
Day 1: Kathmandu/Pokhara to Besishar & Dharapani (7–8 hours, 175 km drive)
We’ll pick you up early from your hotel and start our scenic journey through the Nepali countryside. Travel by public bus to Besisahar, then hop on a local jeep to Dharapani. Enjoy rolling valleys, terraced fields, and charming villages, with distant Himalayan peaks on the horizon. It’s a gentle, scenic introduction to your adventure. Overnight at a cosy teahouse.
Day 2: Trek from Dharapani to Chame (6 hours, approx. 13 km, 2,670 m)
Today we begin trekking! Walk through Bhote villages, pine and oak forests, and open fields. Pause to admire streams and the surrounding mountains. By the time we reach Chame, you’ll feel the first real sense of the Annapurna Circuit. Relax and soak in the alpine atmosphere at your tea house tonight.
Day 3: Trek from Chame to Upper Pisang (5–6 hours, approx. 15 km, 3,200 m)
Climb steadily to Upper Pisang via the scenic Bhratang Valley. Take your time to admire Lamjung Himal and surrounding peaks. Explore the village, meet locals, and enjoy the vibrant Himalayan culture.
Day 4: Trek from Upper Pisang to Manang (5–6 hours, approx. 16 km, 3,540 m)
We continue our trek through forests and valleys towards Manang. Enjoy breathtaking views of Tilicho Peak, Annapurna III, and Annapurna IV. Arrive in Manang and rest at a teahouse, giving your body time to acclimatise before higher elevations.
Day 5: Acclimatisation in Manang (4,050 m)
Today is all about rest and acclimatisation. If you’re up for it, take an optional hike to Gangapurna Glacier Lake or nearby icefalls for stunning mountain views.
Day 6: Trek from Manang to Yak Kharka (4 hours, approx. 7 km, 4,050 m)
A shorter trek today, giving us time to adjust to higher altitude. Walk through alpine pastures with sweeping mountain views and feel the crisp Himalayan air. Arrive in Yak Kharka and unwind at a cosy teahouse, ready for tomorrow’s climb.
Day 7: Trek from Yak Kharka to Thorong Phedi (4–5 hours, approx. 6 km, 4,450 m)
We gradually ascend across rocky paths and suspension bridges to Thorong Phedi, the base camp for Thorong La. Take it slow, enjoy the scenery, and settle into your teahouse. Tonight, get a good rest for the big pass-crossing tomorrow.
Day 8: Trek from Thorong Phedi to Muktinath via Thorong La Pass (7–8 hrs trek)
We begin the day very early, around 4:00 AM, to cross Thorong La Pass (5,416 m) before the winds pick up. The climb is challenging but incredibly rewarding, with wide Himalayan panoramas and vibrant prayer flags marking the top of one of the world’s highest trekking passes.
We descend steadily to Muktinath, arriving around 12–1 PM, where we enjoy lunch and stay overnight.
Optional trip to Tatopani hot springs to relax tired muscles after the pass day.
Note: Not included taxi costs about USD 50, payable by participants.Day 9: Drive from Muktinath to Pokhara by bus (5-6 hours, approx. 110 km)
