Day 1: Kathmandu to Godawari
Begin your journey with a scenic 45-minute drive to Godawari Botanical Garden, Nepal’s first national botanical garden. Spread across lush foothills, the garden features native and exotic plant species, orchid houses, fern gardens, seasonal flower sections, landscaped ponds, and tranquil lawns.
With your professional guide, learn about Nepal’s diverse ecological zones, medicinal plants, and conservation initiatives. This experience is ideal for photography, light walking, and educational exploration.
After lunch at a local restaurant continue with a gentle forest hike along the lower trails of Phulchowki Hill-the highest hill surrounding Kathmandu Valley. Walk through subtropical forests rich in birdlife, natural springs, and quiet clearings, with optional panoramic valley views depending on weather conditions. The hike can be customised according to your fitness level.
In the evening, check into a comfortable eco-lodge or nature resort near Godawari. Relax in peaceful garden surroundings, take a short village walk, or enjoy informal cultural interactions. Dinner is served at the lodge.
Day 2: Godawari to Kathmandu
Begin your morning with an optional sunrise walk around the forest outskirts. Enjoy fresh mountain air and birdsong before breakfast at the lodge. After some leisure time for photography or relaxation, return to Kathmandu by late morning.
