O, princes, emperors and kings, dukes and marquises, counts, knights and citizens, and people of all walks of life, who wish to learn more about my hometown, I invite you for a unique walk through Korčula.
Not many historical figures have as many versions of their life as the first world traveller and sailor Marko Polo does; therefore, allow him personally to introduce you to his youth days spent in his native Korčula. One of the most acclaimed, yet also most controversial figures in history will take you through the town and tell a storey of wonders, adventures and mysteries that still captivate the imagination of his admirers. He will reveal you rich history and culture and introduce you to the architecture of the Adriatic beauty. Occasionally taking you back to the thirteenth centry, he will tell intriguing stories and legends that Korčulan streets and squares still whisper. You will hear unusual things of every kind, just as he witnessed them himself or learned about them from trustworthy and truthful people. Just as he once introduced Europeans to Asian civilisation, he will now show you this medieval gem of the Adriatic. Trust him – he speaks nothing but the truth!
