2-Day Itinerary

Day 1: Kutaisi → Zugdidi → Mestia

Begin with a scenic drive across western Georgia. Stop at the Enguri Dam Viewpoint, one of the largest dams in the world. Visit the Svaneti Museum of History & Ethnography to see rare treasures, manuscripts, and traditional artefacts. Spend the night in Mestia (accommodation should be pre-booked).

Day 2: Mestia → Ushguli → Kutaisi

Visit the legendary Tower of Love and admire Lamaria Church, a medieval treasure with Mt. Shkhara in the background. Explore the UNESCO-listed village of Ushguli, stroll among its ancient towers, and enjoy views of the Caucasus peaks. Return to Kutaisi in the evening.

3-Day Itinerary

Day 1: Kutaisi → Zugdidi → Mestia

Explore Dadiani Palace in Zugdidi, former residence of the Dadiani royal family. Stop at the Enguri Dam Viewpoint. Spend the night in Mestia.

Day 2: Mestia → Ushguli

Discover the Svaneti Museum of History & Ethnography. Ride the Hatsvali Cable Car for breathtaking mountain panoramas. Drive to Ushguli, Europe’s highest inhabited settlement. Spend the night in Ushguli.

Day 3: Ushguli → Kutaisi

Walk through Ushguli Village, a living museum of medieval towers and Svan culture. Visit the Lamaria Church at the foot of Mt. Shkhara. For adventurous travellers, enjoy an optional short hike to the Shkhara Glacier. Return to Kutaisi with a scenic drive.
