It is one of the oldest souqs in Kuwait, and was the centre of trade prior to the discovery of oil. You can spend hours in this market strolling around and discovering reasonable bargains on heritage goods such as Persian silk carpets, real Arab antiques, perfumes like musk and oud, and traditional costumes. This place is perfect whether you want to shop, eat, or for sightseeing. Al-Mubarakiya features a variety of shops such as dates, honey, spices, sweets, vegetables, fruits, meat, and fish. In addition to a range of shops accessories, gold and silver jewelries. The market also hosts two mini museums: Sheikh Mubarak Kiosk and the first Islamic pharmacy in Kuwait, and admission is free.

The Seif Palace is popular among local and overseas visitors as the home of the royal family. Nevertheless, they might be surprised to find out that this palace does not get much used by the Monarch and the government. While it is true that this palace is designated to the Emir dynasty, the household personally chose to stay in Bayan Palace which is known as the official house of the Emir and this is also the place where the monarch would entertain his dignitaries. Therefore, the Seif palace only serves as the court if there are special celebrations and events, or if the Bayan Palace is not available. However, thousands of travellers every year go to see this fine building.

Sadu House, a traditional Kuwaiti house, was built in 1936. In the 1980 it embraced the tradition of weaving and became the home of weavings and textiles. In 2006, the building was restored to continue its cultural role of introducing and preserving the weaving heritage from the vast spots of the rural desert to the urbanised city.

Historical American Hospital building was built before more than 150 years in Kuwait converted to an Islamic Cultural Centre. This exceptional cultural centre has stunning galleries that contain some of the highlights of the world-class Al Sabah Collection, part of which was in the National Museum before the Iraqi invasion. With informative labels in English and Arabic, videos with experts explaining the pieces and some exquisite sculptures and archaeological finds of great antiquity from across the region, it's everything the National Museum could be, albeit on a smaller scale.

Located in the heart of the city, the Grand Mosque is the biggest and the official Mosque of Kuwait which means that official religious celebrations are held in this mosque only. Locals refer to this Mosque as ‘Al-Masjid Al-Kabir’. With total area of 46,000 square metres (490,000 sq ft), the building itself covers 20,000 square metres (220,000 sq ft). The Grand mosque is internationally renowned for its Islamic architecture and it has become one of Kuwait's most treasured landmarks. Indeed, the builders and designers have put a lot of effort in creating this mosque starting the project way back in 1979 and finally completing it seven years later in 1986 at a cost of about KD 14 million. Grand Mosque is popular for its prayer arrangement during the last 10 days of Ramadan. Thousands of Muslims gather during last 10 days of Ramadan.

Located along the Arabian Gulf Street between Seif Palace and National Assembly, the Kuwait National Museum is a true representation of the Kuwait Heritage. Designed by the French architect Michel Ecochard, visitors can enjoy this historical museum, which represent the Kuwaiti life in the past, their everyday activities, the rich trading history of Kuwait and its traditions.

The Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Cultural Centre (JACC), informally known as the Kuwait Opera House, is the largest cultural centre and opera house in the Middle East. The cultural centre is part of the Kuwait National Cultural District.

The Liberation Tower is the second tallest tower in Kuwait, and the fifth tallest telecommunication tower in the world. It is the symbol of Kuwaiti Liberation, and represents the country's resurgence. Officially unveiled by the late Kuwaiti Amir, Sheikh Jabel Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah on 10th March 1996, the tower is 372m tall, which is 40m taller than the Eiffel Tower. The Liberation Tower is so-named following the multinational coalition that led to liberation of the nation from seven months of Iraqi occupation during the Gulf war.

A modest white building with blue trim, Beit Dickson was the home of former British political agent Colonel Harold Dickson and his wife, Violet, whose love of and contribution to Kuwait are documented in the various archives inside the house. Highlights include a collection of photographs taken during Kuwait’s British protectorate era, a replica museum of the Dicksons’ living quarters and an archive of Kuwaiti-British relations that dates from the 19th century to the 1960s when Kuwait became independent.

Al Shaheed park, located on the periphery of Kuwait city, narrates the storey of a land, its history and culture. The park consists of 200,000 m2 of greenery, featuring beautiful botanical gardens, two museums - Thekra & the Habitat, a visitor centre, a lake, walkways and jogging tracks, making it the largest urban park in Kuwait.

The Central Bank of Kuwait offers a strict currency system on behalf of the State of Kuwait. The bank regulates Kuwaiti stock market along with the Kuwait Stock Exchange, the Ministry of Commerce and Industry and the Ministry of Finance.

The Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah Causeway is a mega bridge project that spans the Bay of Kuwait in two directions and comprises two projects: Main Link, which connects Kuwait City with the future Silk City; and Doha Link, which connects Kuwait City with Doha and the Kuwait Entertainment City. The project forms part of the Kuwait National Development Plan 2035. It is one of the largest and most challenging transport infrastructure projects in Kuwait, as well as the entire Middle East region. The Main Link is the 4th longest road bridge in the world at 36.14 km. Both bridges have a combined length of 48.5 kilometres.
