First, we’ll introduce the history of mochi pounding through a short video.
After that, you’ll get to try pounding mochi yourself.
We hope you’ll get a feel for the weight of the tools used in the process.
You can then enjoy the mochi you’ve pounded by dipping it in one of four toppings: kinako (roasted soya bean flour), chocolate, honey, or black sugar syrup.
Next, you’ll watch a short video on how to perform the tea ceremony, and our instructor will guide each of you carefully and slowly in English.
Once the tea ceremony experience is over, you’ll have the chance to actually touch a genuine katana used by real samurai.
For example, you can even try swinging it around—all under safe conditions.
Finally, our staff will take a free family photo of you holding the mochi-pounding tools and the katana.
We have a small gift from the store for you as you leave.
Let’s create the highlight of your trip to Japan together.
We’ve prepared the finest hospitality and look forward to welcoming you from the bottom of our hearts.
