What you can expect

We'll start the tour at the iconic Witches' Market, right in the heart of La Paz. There, you can stroll among colourful souvenir stalls, take photos, and learn about the ancestral traditions of Andean culture.

We'll also visit the shop of a renowned 'chiflera,' a wise Andean woman specialised in rituals, who will prepare a 'mesa' for us—a traditional offering used in ceremonies of thanksgiving to the Pachamama, which means Mother Earth.

After the walk, we'll head home for dinner with an authentic 'Apthapi': a typical community meal from the Andes. This feast includes a variety of native potatoes, chuño, charque (dehydrated meat), choclo, cheese, and hot sauce.

After dinner, we'll meet in the courtyard to prepare the 'table' with all the necessary ritual elements (coca leaves, cinnamon, honey, etc.). Then, we'll put the 'table' on the wood we've prepared to make the offering to the Pachamama and set it on fire.

In an intimate and respectful atmosphere, next to the warmth of the campfire, we'll drink 'tea with tea,' a hot local drink ideal for the cold nights of La Paz. We'll give thanks by the fire for everything we have and also ask for blessings and good fortune for each of the ritual's participants until the fire turns the offering into ashes.

We'll finish with a special incense for the occasion, and after the ritual is over, you can head back to your hotel.
