Overview

  • Discover the Lacandon Jungle on a 2-day shared tour from Palenque that combines Mayan sites, an overnight stay in a cabin, and a guided jungle hike.

    On the first day you will travel to Frontera Corozal to take the boat to Yaxchilán and then visit Bonampak. When finished, you will have free time and will spend the night in a cabin in the Lacanjá community.

    On the second day you will explore the jungle on foot with a guide and visit the waterfalls of the Mactuniná River before returning to Palenque. The experience includes air-conditioned transport, one night of accommodation, two breakfasts, one dinner, and one lunch.

    An option for those who want to combine archaeology and nature with more time to get to know the region. The hike requires moderate physical fitness.
