What you can expect

Begin your self-guided e-bike tour by crossing Lake Windermere on the cable ferry. Cycle along the lake shore cycle track to the impressive Wray Castle, where you can enjoy panoramic views of the central Lake District mountain ranges.

Continue past the picturesque Tarn Howe and on to Coniston Village, with its magnificent backdrop of the Old Man of Coniston mountain range. Coniston offers a range of lunch options, including traditional pubs, tearooms, and the Bluebird Café on the lake shore.

In the afternoon, choose between two routes along the lake shore. The shorter route takes you through the village of Hawkshead, with its cobbled streets, tea rooms, and connections to William Wordsworth and Beatrix Potter.

The alternative route takes you along the full length of the breathtaking shores of Coniston Water and through the tranquil southern villages of the Lake District National Park, returning you to Lake Windermere and the ferry back.
