What you can expect

Crescent Island Game Sanctuary is located on Lake Naivasha's eastern shore. Giraffes, waterbucks, elands, wildebeests, zebras, impalas, and hippos are among the fauna that may be found at the conservancy.

Fish eagles, ospreys, lily-trotters, and other birds are examples. You can enjoy enjoyable activities such as boat riding, mountain climbing, hiking, rock climbing, motorbiking, and bird viewing at resorts on the Island.

The coastlines are teeming with bird life, including pelicans, cormorants, and fish-eagles, which have a haunting call. Because the Island has more animals per acre than any other Kenyan park, several film companies have been to film the herds of Wildebeest, Waterbuck, Zebra, and Gazelle.

The island is not fenced in order to allow wildlife from the mainland to enter as they lose habitat due to construction and an ever-increasing population. Hippos graze on us at night and then sleep beneath the acacia or rest in the water during the day.

Giraffes bred on the island return to give birth; often, three generations can be seen at once. Although hyenas visit the island to hunt at night, they are not permanent residents; however, the many pythons that do live here are occasionally sighted carrying a kill. Buffalo herds come and go, but they are always watched.
