Discover the history of the Knights Templar on a 9-hour tour from Lisbon, with van transfers and a guide.

Depart from Lisbon at 9:00 am, heading to Almourol Castle. After about 1.5 hours of travel, you will arrive at the banks of the Tagus River. A boat ride of about 3 minutes takes you to the island where the castle is located. Take advantage of the visit to explore this setting linked to the history of the Knights Templar.

Then take a 25-minute ride to Tomar and visit the Church of Santa Maria do Olival. Continue by van to the historic old town and Praça da República, where you will have free time to stroll around and have lunch on your own.

In the afternoon, head to the Convent of Christ, a UNESCO World Heritage site, and discover the legacy of the Knights Templar and the Order of Christ. The final visit will be to the Pegões Aqueduct. The three journeys between the church, the historic old town, the convent and the aqueduct are made by van, taking about 10 minutes each way.

After visiting the aqueduct, return to Lisbon on an approximately 1.5-hour journey, with an expected arrival time of 6:00 PM.

Access to the monuments is standard in all options, subject to existing queues. Lunch is not included. Times are approximate and may vary depending on traffic and visiting conditions. If weather conditions prevent access to Almourol, an equivalent alternative visit will be offered.
