Locorotondo is one of the most beautiful viewpoints of the Murgia of Trulli in Puglia, the typical local houses. The historic centre has a circular shape, with elegant architecture and unique colours: white dominates among houses, churches, and buildings, enriched by the vibrant tones of flowers.
The guided tour begins at Piazza Antonio Mitrano and enters the historic centre, where two large 19th-century columns mark the ancient Porta Napoli. From here, following our itinerary, you can admire buildings such as the former town hall, now the Communal Library, with its simple historic façade and elegant entrance, the Baroque Palazzo Morelli, with its splendid portal and small wrought-iron balconies, and finally the Mother Church.
Dedicated to Saint George, the church was built between 1790 and 1825 on the site of three previous churches dedicated to the same saint. Among white houses adorned with deep red geraniums and colourful flowers blooming in every corner, Locorotondo reveals itself as an authentic and charming village.
