The experience begins at Quinta de Recião, in Lamego, with a welcome in the vineyard and a brief introduction to the region's wine history and traditions. After the materials are provided, we dive into a dynamic workshop on winter pruning and grafting, revealing how these practices affect the quality and longevity of the vineyard.
Under expert guidance, each participant will try their hand at pruning and carry out their own grafting, experiencing vineyard work first-hand. We also explore vine management throughout the year, which is essential to ensuring excellent grapes.
At the end of the workshop, the experience culminates with lunch in the vineyard, surrounded by nature and the sounds of the bardos, accompanied by wine pairings—an opportunity to share and celebrate the flavours of the Douro.
