On the first day, you'll depart from Puno and cruise the waters of the world's highest navigable lake. The first stop will be at the floating islands of Uros, handcrafted with totora reeds. There, you'll learn how the families live, how they maintain their islands, and the traditions they've preserved for generations.
Then, you'll continue to Taquile Island, renowned for its extraordinary textile tradition and stunning views of Lake Titicaca. You'll tour the island, learn about its customs, and enjoy a typical lunch prepared by local residents.
In the afternoon, you will arrive at Luquina Chico, a quiet Aymara community located on the shores of the lake, far from mass tourism. A local family will welcome you and accompany you to TITICACA LODGE – LUQUINA, where you can rest surrounded by nature and enjoy a beautiful view of Lake Titicaca. The accommodation has hot water and solar energy, combining comfort with respect for the environment.
During your stay, you can get closer to the daily life of the community by participating, depending on the season, in activities such as artisanal fishing, farming, traditional cooking, weaving, or walks through the community. At the end of the day, you'll share a home-cooked dinner prepared with local products and enjoy the tranquility and the sky of the highlands.
The next morning, start your day with an Andean breakfast by the lake and have time to enjoy one last local experience before the drop-off back to Puno.
