Soak up nature in Siem Reap's National Lake, Tonle Sap — well known for being one of the world's most vibrant ecosystems, as it is home to a huge number of different species of wildlife in and around the lake. See the fascinating way in which the locals live with views of their unique floating villages. We'll make a stop at a local market before hopping onto a large boat to watch the sunset, with a beer in hand!
Itineraries
1:45 PM : Meet at the Mad Monkey Siem Reap Hostel lobby
2:00 PM : Depart Mad Monkey (travel time is approximately 1 hour)
3:00 PM : Hop on a boat for an hour cruise exploring the surrounding area. Arrive at the village and experince the local lifestyle
4:30 PM : Head back to the jetty to explore mangroves in small community boat. The cost is an additional $5 per person and helps to support the locals. If you prefer to stay on solid ground for a little longer, you can stay back at the local restaurant, Je Reap — or visit the small crocodile farm run by the restaurant.
5:30 PM : Head back to the boat to watch the sunset at the Tonle Sap lake.
7:30 PM : Arrive back at Mad Monkey Siem Reap
