Guests are welcomed into Paul Seftel’s gallery and working studio — a space that opens directly onto a historic adobe compound in Cerrillos. From there, the experience extends into the courtyard and surrounding village, with time to observe how light shifts across walls, ground, and open space as day moves towards evening. Refreshments are served in the outdoor lounge. As twilight approaches, the focus turns to how surfaces absorb and release light. Guests are invited to view select works in low light, including phosphorescent paintings that subtly respond to the fading conditions. The experience is personal, unhurried, and grounded in place — offering a deeper understanding of how the work develops from the surrounding landscape and light.
