It is time for your 2nd stop of Malaysian Street Food journey, Anuar’s Fish Head Curry (also known Bangsar Fish Head Corner), located just opposite Bangsar Village Shopping Mall that commands a large customer base thanks to two of their signature dishes: fish head curry and mamak-style fried chicken. Using spices and ingredients necessary for a good curry base, the South Indian cooking style is obvious when savouring Anuar’s fish head curry. The curry is super thick, vibrant and fragrant. The mamak-style fried chicken is perfectly seasoned and not dry after being deep-fried.

Brickfields Pisang Goreng

This humble stall only sells 4 items – pisang goreng, kuih bakul (sweet rice cake fritters), sesame balls and curry puff. All items are freshly made and new batches are consistently sold out with new customers flocking over to buy. The fresh bananas are peeled battered on the spot, and fried at the roadside stall. What makes the goreng pisang here stand out from the rest is the use of pisang raja which are firm, soft and incredibly sweet. At the end of the tour you’ll be taken back to the starting point.
