Begin your day early to maximise your chances of seeing wild spinner and bottlenose dolphins, which are most active in the morning. Board a speedboat from the west coast, and cruise into open waters where pods of dolphins are frequently spotted.
Once your guide locates them, enter the water and swim alongside these graceful creatures, without disturbing their natural rhythm. It's an unforgettable, respectful encounter that leaves guests amazed and emotionally moved.
After your dolphin experience, continue the marine exploration with a guided snorkelling session in one of the nearby coral-rich lagoons, such as La Preneuse Reef or Crystal Rock Reef. With excellent visibility and a wealth of marine life, swim among colourful fish species, corals, sea urchins, and maybe even spot a sea turtle or stingray.
During the tour, cruise past the iconic Crystal Rock, a freestanding coral formation rising out of the sea with the dramatic backdrop of Le Morne Brabant Mountain, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It's one of the most photographed spots in Mauritius, and your guide will stop so you can capture the moment.
Next, your boat heads to the calm shores of Île aux Bénitiers, a peaceful flat coral island known for its shallow waters, stunning lagoon views, and relaxed atmosphere. Here, have plenty of free time to stroll along the beach, swim in the shallow turquoise waters, sunbathe under the warm Mauritian sun, and browse small souvenir stalls from local island vendors.
Enjoy a freshly prepared lunch on the island, cooked and served by your boat crew. Feast on grilled fish, chicken, chicken sausages, garlic bread, salads, flambéed banana, and a refreshing selection of drinks, including soft drinks, beer, or Mauritian rum.
