The Experience: Sunrise or Sunset Magic
Begin your journey in the quiet hours of the day. Opt for the Sunrise Hike to reward your morning efforts with a breathtaking 360-degree panoramic view as the sun illuminates Mauritius. Or, choose the Sunset Hike to experience the mountain as the daytime crowds disappear, descending under the peaceful, changing colours of the dusk sky.
Trail Breakdown & Itinerary
Ascent (1.5 to 2 Hours): We pace the climb comfortably with multiple rest stops.
Section 1: A steady, cardio-focused climb reaching 260 metres above sea level over a moderate gradient.
Section 2: An exciting, hands-and-feet scramble over a 69-meter section. We use three points of contact for ultimate safety.
The Summit: Continue to the highest accessible point at 493 metres. We spend 30 minutes at the peak, absorbing the drop-dead gorgeous panoramic views of Mauritius’ famous turquoise lagoon while enjoying a complimentary small snack at the top to celebrate your achievement.
Descent (1.5 Hours): A relaxed walk down with regular stops to discover the mountain's unique exotic and endemic plant species.
