Visitors can access Mbudya Island by taking a short boat ride from the mainland, typically from areas like Kunduchi or White Sands Beach. There are basic facilities on the island, including thatched bandas (huts) where visitors can rest, and small stalls selling refreshments. However, the island remains largely undeveloped, which adds to its charm as a peaceful getaway.

8:30 AM – Depart for Mbudya Island
Arrive at jangwani sea breeze or other area serene beach resort and hire a boat to take you to Mbudya Island. The boat ride is about 10-20 minutes.

9:30 AM – Arrival at Mbudya Island
Settle on the beach: Rent a beach hut (bandas) for shade and use it as your base for the day.
Explore the island briefly and take in the beautiful surroundings.

10:00 AM – Snorkelling and Swimming
Snorkelling: Mbudya has vibrant coral reefs. Rent snorkelling gear o, and explore the underwater world with colourful fish and coral gardens.

Swimming: Enjoy a swim in the warm Indian Ocean waters.
11:00 AM – Relax and Sunbathe
Relax on the soft sandy beach or under your banda. You can bring a book or just enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of the island.

1:00 PM – Lunch
Enjoy a seafood lunch on the island. There are local vendors who offer freshly grilled foods.
Cold drinks (coconut water, soft drinks, or local beer) are usually available.

2:00 PM – Beach Walk and Exploring
Take a walk around the island, exploring its natural beauty and secluded spots. It's a small island, so it won’t take long to stroll along its shorelines.

3:00 PM – Water Activities
Optionally, go for a second round of snorkelling, swimming, or just floating in the clear waters.
For more adventure, some visitors arrange for kayaking.

4:30 PM – Relax and Pack Up
Start packing up your things and prepare for the return trip. Spend the last moments soaking up the beautiful scenery and cooling off in the water.

5:00 PM – Return to the Mainland
Take a boat back to the mainland and enjoy the sunset views as you sail back.

6:00 PM – Arrival Back at Dar es Salaam
Arrive back at the mainland with enough time to freshen up and maybe grab a drink or dinner at a local restaurant in the area.
