In the Zeeuws Museum, based in a former abbey, you will discover surprising aspects of Zeeland’s culture and history: from archaeological finds and world-famous tapestries to regional costume, porcelain, silver and the most diverse objects that Zeelanders have brought home from distant lands. The extremely varied collection serves as the basis for innovative exhibitions that always have a relationship to the here and now.

The Zeeuws Museum preserves approximately 30,000 objects that tell stories
about Zeeland’s culture and history. We deploy art and heritage to build a resilient society. That is our mission.
