Monreale’s Cloister was inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage

The cloister belongs to the complex of the Benedictine abbey of Santa Maria la Nuova, founded in 1174 by the norman king William II, acts as a pivot for the whole abbey complex that develops around it. For the first time, a unique visit route will lead the public to discover one of the most important monument of the Sicilian-Norman Middle Ages.

The architecture and art, and - above all - the magnificent mosaics and decorations inside the cloister make Monreale a “must” on every discerning Sicily traveler’s to-do list.
