of Río de la Plata tango have sat at its tables and its historic bar. Among them was Carlos Gardel, who visited the bar
during his stay in Montevideo, tried the traditional Uvita cocktail and, according to

The experience begins with a tango lesson led by professional dancers, who will teach you the basic steps and essential movements of this traditional dance in a clear and enjoyable way. No previous experience is needed, as the class is designed for beginners and curious people who want to learn and have fun.
At the end of the class, you'll enjoy a glass of Uvita, the house's traditional drink
of the house (or a soft drink), accompanied by a typical charcuterie board. Then, you can
stay at the bar to soak up its unique atmosphere and watch the live
tango show without paying for admission to the show.
