Go behind the scenes of a wine estate in Anjou with a visit to Domaine Delaunay in Montjean-sur-Loire, designed for all ages. Here, everyone can easily understand the main stages, from grape harvesting to bottling, thanks to a clear route and explanations tailored to the group's level.
Meet at the estate's wine cellar (2 rue du Daudet, 49570 Montjean-sur-Loire). Once the group is together, you'll start in the press room, which is the perfect place to learn about the history of Domaine Delaunay and the grape harvest process. You'll then head to the wine-making cellar, where the grape juice is transformed into wine and you'll learn the essential principles of this stage.
The tour continues in the bottling room, where you'll learn about packaging, product preparation, and the journey before they're put on sale. Finally, head to the sparkling wine room to see what makes these effervescent vintages special. Throughout the tour, explanatory videos complement the commentary, and in case of bad weather, the visit takes place indoors to ensure a comfortable experience.
After exploring the estate, it's time for a guided tasting: you'll get to try 5 wines from the range. To ensure that both young and old can fully enjoy the experience, a non-alcoholic alternative is offered with artisanal apple or grape juice. A friendly, educational, and gourmet outing, perfect for learning about the know-how of the Angevin vineyard.
