At Rinjani Climbing Tours, we specialise in small group tours with a maximum of 4 trekkers per group. This allows for a more personal experience, better guide support, a comfortable pace, and a less crowded trekking experience.
Day 1 – Sembalun Village to Sembalun Crater Rim (2,639 m)
Your adventure begins in Sembalun Village (1,156 m), following a scenic trail across open savannah with panoramic views of Mount Rinjani’s surrounding landscape. The gradual ascent provides a comfortable start before the trail becomes steeper after Pos 3.
The final climb to the Sembalun Crater Rim is the most challenging section of the day, rewarding trekkers with spectacular views of Segara Anak Lake, the caldera, and the summit above.
Arriving at the crater rim camp (2,639 m) in the late afternoon, you’ll enjoy a beautiful sunset, a freshly prepared dinner, and an overnight stay overlooking one of Indonesia’s most iconic volcanic landscapes.

Day 2: Summit Sunrise, Segara Anak Lake & Senaru Crater Rim
Begin with an early morning summit ascent to Mount Rinjani (3,726 m) and enjoy breathtaking sunrise views over Lombok, Bali, Sumbawa, and Segara Anak Lake.
After breakfast at the Sembalun Crater Rim, descend to Segara Anak Lake to relax, enjoy the natural hot springs, and have lunch. In the afternoon, continue along the scenic Torean route through lush forests, valleys, rivers, and waterfalls before camping near Penimbungan Waterfall.

06:00 PM – Arrive at camp near Penimbungan Waterfall
Day 3 – Torean Valley to Torean Village
After breakfast, begin the final descent through the beautiful Torean Valley, passing waterfalls, rivers, and lush rainforest along the way.
After approximately 5 km of trekking, arrive at Torean Village, marking the end of your Mount Rinjani adventure. Our driver will then transfer you back to Senaru Village.
