Built in the 15th century, this 600-year-old palace served as the home of 24 Ming and Qing emperors.Spanning 180 acres with 980 surviving buildings, the Forbidden City dazzles with golden roofs, intricate carvings, and majestic courtyards. Key highlights include the Hall of Supreme Harmony, the emperor’s throne room, and the Palace of Heavenly Purity, where royal families lived. It is connected to Juyongguan Pass in the west and Gubeikou Gateway in the east. The entire area is like a mountaintop garden.
