What to Expect on the Jaguar Trail Walk – Tortuguero National Park
Join us for a peaceful and immersive nature walk along the famous Jaguar Trail, located inside Tortuguero National Park. This guided experience takes place during the day, when the rainforest is full of life and activity.
Your tour begins with a short explanation about the trail, the park’s unique ecosystem, and some safety tips. As we walk slowly through the jungle, I’ll help you spot and interpret the incredible biodiversity around you:
Sloths hanging in the trees
Howler and capuchin monkeys swinging above
Colourful frogs, reptiles, and insects
Tropical birds like toucans and trogons
Medicinal plants and towering rainforest trees
We’ll take our time, moving at a relaxed pace, stopping to observe tracks, listen to jungle sounds, and talk about the natural and cultural history of the area.
Whether you're a first-time visitor or a seasoned explorer, this walk offers a unique chance to truly connect with the rainforest and learn from a local perspective.
