A castle that stands on the sea, on the islet of Megaride, its name tells of the legend of which it is told, which would trace its name to the egg that Virgil would have hidden inside a cage in the basement of the castle. The place where the egg was stored, was closed by heavy locks and kept secret since "that egg hung all the fact and fortune of Castel Marino".
Via Ammiraglio Ferdinando Acton (Pass by)
It skirts the huge city port, recently renovated and completed with a beautiful elevated promenade, and the ramparts of Castel Nuovo, the Maschio Angioino that stands out on Piazza Municipio, also home to contemporary art installations.

The construction of the Castel Nuovo, also called Maschio Angioino, began in 1279, and since then it dominates the heart of the city. Inside a museum itinerary that is articulated between the Armoury Room, the Palatine Chapel or Santa Barbara, the first and second floors of the southern curtain to which are added the Charles V Room and the Loggia Room intended to host exhibitions and cultural initiatives.
