Meet your guide at Kintetsu Ikoma Station and begin your adventure. Climb to the mountaintop mostly by the oldest cable car line in Japan. Cross the prefectural border twice, once in the amusement park and again at Kuragari-touge, one of Japan's 100 best roads.

Explore historical temples, shrines, and a mountaintop amusement park. Take in breathtaking views of both Osaka and Nara. Experience the mountain's seasonal changes and local life. You will step on the turning point of how Imadehiko became the first Japanese emperor, on the Osaka side of Mt. Ikoma. A local lunch will be provided at the Ishikiri shrine shopping street.

Hike approximately 8.5 km on trails and paved roads. Be prepared for steep, potentially slippery, and muddy paths.
