What you can expect

Welcome! After being picked up from your hotel, we will begin our journey along the scenic Beach Road, we are going to explore the city in the most local way possible — by tuk tuk . This way, you’ll see not only the famous landmarks but also the hidden corners of the city and get a true feeling of daily life.

Visit : St. Sebastian’s Church
We’ll start with the largest Roman Catholic church in Negombo, almost 95 years old, built in beautiful Gothic style. It’s an important landmark

Visit : Sri Muththu Mari Amman Kovil, one of the most beautiful and colourful Hindu temples in Negombo.
This temple is dedicated to Goddess Mari Amman, who is believed to protect her devotees from illness, bring prosperity, and bless families with good health. The word ‘Amman’ means mother,
When you arrive, the first thing you will notice is the impressive gopuram (entrance tower), decorated with hundreds of brightly painted statues of Hindu gods, goddesses, and mythological figures. Each carving tells a storey from Hindu legends and traditions.

Visit : St. Mary’s Church, one of the most iconic landmarks in Negombo, often called ‘Little Rome’ because of its strong Catholic heritage and many churches.”
Built during the late 19th century (1874–1922).The Portuguese first established a church here in the 16th century. Later destroyed under Dutch rule, it was rebuilt by the British.
Designed in neoclassical style with tall columns, wide arches, and a majestic façade.
Inside, look up at the painted ceiling depicting scenes from the life of Christ-which shows the cultural blend of Sri Lanka.

Visit : the Old Dutch Fort, originally built by the Portuguese and later fortified by the Dutch. built in the 17th century and later used as a colonial prison. Though only parts remain today, it still reflects Negombo’s rich colonial past.

Visit :Get Experience the lively Negombo Fish Market, where the day’s fresh catch is traded in a bustling, colourful atmosphere. Watch fishermen bring in their boats, explore the vibrant stalls, and witness the heart of Negombo’s fishing community in action.”

Stop: Dutch Canal & Lagoon
We’ll take a ride along the Dutch Canal, built by the Dutch in the 17th century to transport cinnamon and spices. Today, it’s still used by locals, and you’ll see small boats passing through. From here, we also visit Negombo Lagoon, where traditional catamaran fishermen sail out to sea — a perfect photo stop!

: Visit is the Angurukaramulla Temple, It is the largest Buddhist temple in Negombo and one of the most colourful and interesting places to visit in the city.
At the entrance, you will be greeted by a giant 6-meter (20 ft) Buddha statue sitting in meditation. To enter, we walk through the mouth of a dragon — this represents leaving behind evil and entering a sacred space of peace and wisdom.
