What you can expect

  • Gain unprecedented access to the iconic Niagara Parks Power Station + Tunnel experience with a day or night ticket (interactive nighttime experience and show).

From the most towering turbine to the tiniest detail, uncover fascinating stories hidden within the historic Niagara Parks Power Station, a new must-see attraction on the Canadian side of the falls. Explore the first major power plant on the Canadian side of the Niagara River with immersive exhibits, restored artefacts and interactive storytelling.

After exploring the Power Station halls, descend 180 feet in a glass-paneled lift and explore the 2,200-foot long tunnel, leading to an observation deck at the river's edge. Find out how this remarkable tunnel was excavated with only lanterns, rudimentary dynamite, pickaxes and shovels. Then, step out onto a new observation deck at the river's edge.

Includes free immersive self-guided audio tours.

Nighttime Experience (if option selected): After exploring the power station’s 2,200-foot-long underground Tunnel, experience a visually stunning, nighttime encounter with one of the world's most legendary natural wonders from an observation platform at the edge of the Niagara River–the illuminated Horseshoe Falls await! Dig deeper into Niagara’s storey of power with never-before-shared details of the power station’s phenomenal history, including newly unveiled multimedia storytelling and flexible screenings of Currents, an epic sound and light show.

Currents Light and Sound Show: Enjoy greater flexibility and value with an updated schedule and expanded visitor experience at Currents, the mesmerising sound and light evening show at the Niagara Parks Power Station + Tunnel!

During your nighttime experience, Currents will run continuously in the generator hall. You can choose when to watch the show and when to explore new lighting activations throughout the generator hall and the Tunnel.

Please note that the tunnel is a self-guided experience only. Please note it is roughly a 10-15 minute walk to reach the observation deck at the edge of the tunnel. We recommend planning for a two-hour experience if you wish to explore the Tunnel during your visit to the power station.
