Discover the VAIPO Waterfall: A Spectacular and Unforgettable Adventure!

Get ready for a unique experience in the heart of the wilderness! Our excursion to VAIPO takes you through breathtaking landscapes, combining comfort and adventure.

It all starts with a 4x4 departure, between 8:30 and 9:00 AM from your accommodation in the village of Taiohae. You'll be guided along trails, cross the majestic pine forest nestled in the centre of the island's crater, and stop at various viewpoints to admire the surrounding beauty.

Along the way, we'll stop at the water basins of the sacred pool, a place steeped in history and mystery. Then, get ready for an exhilarating hike of about 2 hours return, which will take you to the top of the dizzying 350-meter waterfall, plunging into the HAKAUI valley. The view from the top is simply breathtaking!

To make the day even better, we'll share a picnic on site, while enjoying the surrounding nature. You can cool off with a swim in the river, it's the perfect opportunity to reconnect with nature.

Then, you'll climb the big Z to the ridge of TEIVIPAKEKA. You'll be rewarded with a 360-degree panoramic view, between the HAKAUI Valley and the Keiaki crater of MATATETEIKO. An unforgettable moment to capture with the setting sun!

Finally, we'll head back to the village through the centre of the Toovii plateau crater, wrapping up this day full of discoveries through the cattle and horse pastures.

This is a moderate-level excursion, so you should be in good physical condition and not afraid of heights.
