Your adventure begins with a relaxing boat ride to the sea walking point, where you can enjoy the natural beauty of Okinawa’s ocean and coastline along the way. Once you arrive, your instructor will guide you through the simple preparation process.
In the summer, guests may participate in the activity wearing swimwear. After reaching the activity area, the instructor and captain will set up the sea-walking ladder and check everyone’s equipment to ensure everything is secure and comfortable.
Guests will then enter the water one at a time. With the instructor’s support, you will descend slowly down the ladder until you reach the ocean floor. Thanks to the special sea-walking helmet, you can breathe naturally through your nose and mouth just like on land—your face and hair stay dry, and swimming skills are not required.
After everyone arrives at the bottom, the real experience begins.
Following your instructor, you’ll take a gentle stroll along the seabed. Tropical fish in vibrant colours will naturally gather around you, and sometimes entire schools will swim so close that you can clearly see their delicate patterns. This calm underwater walk feels almost like stepping inside a living aquarium.
Along the ocean floor, you can observe a variety of marine creatures such as tropical fish, sea cucumbers, starfish, and small animals hidden among the rocks. The underwater scenery changes depending on the day’s sea conditions, offering a unique view each time you visit.
Your instructor will stay by your side throughout the entire experience, guiding and supporting you to ensure a safe and enjoyable journey. Even if you cannot swim or it’s your first time joining a marine activity, you can fully enjoy this unforgettable moment of walking among tropical fish in Okinawa’s underwater world.
